Chapter Two: Shining the Light On a Whole Lot of Darkness

Chapter Deuce is one of my favorite chapters in the book. I hope it becomes one of your favorites, too. There’s some sports references and I’ve been a lifelong sports fan. Most specifically, there’s a little bit of chitchat about Aaron Rodgers, an exceptional Hall-of-Fame quarterback, but a bit of a kook, and Pat McAfee, a former NFL kicker, and a sports shock-jock who spends a whole lot of time apologizing for the stupid things he says; but to me, his apologies seem a little garbled, most likely because the foot he kicked with is usually in his mouth.

But the fun stuff in this chapter-chatter is about the problems with books about business (hopefully not mine), the true definition of thought leadership (starting on page 22), and some bat-shit craziness about an oil painting from 1562.

And speaking of bats, my beautiful wife, Kathy, loves them. I’m not sure why, but she’s in-tune with nature, the world outside, plants, animals, mammals, birds, and riparian habitats and corridors. The only bat I liked was Batman, aka Adam West, aka William West, aka William Anderson. And to that, I say, “KAPOW!”, “KER-SPLOOSH!” and for good measure, “KLONK!”.
